Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician

This position focuses on introducing and establishing new Manufacturing Processes plus Process Maintenance and Continuous Improvement for existing Manufacturing Processes. Additional areas of focus may include but are not limited to: setup reduction, operator training, tool design or selection, and performance metrics. Other daily responsibilities will include; procedure generation, participation in production readiness activities for new clients and designing continuous improvement plans for current production jobs. An important aspect of this position is the hands on nature of this role. As improvements are identified, it will very likely be the responsibility of this individual to document, implement, train and re-qualify any changes.

• Development and Maintenance of Preventive Maintenance Programs for Production Customers 
• Procedural Documentation drafting and maintenance 
• Drive Manufacturing/Production Team activities (such as Lean Six-Sigma and Gemba) and report on metrics 
• Lead cost savings initiatives for responsible product families  Take part in Process Validation activities
• Maintenance of Data Logs and Utilities 
• Own and Maintain customer/internal procedures 
• Provide assistance in job setup and process training for operators 
• Select Assignment of Manufacturing Engineering Projects (Corrective Action, Preventive Action, Continuous Improvement and Process Development) 
• Inspection equipment development and maintenance

• Minimum 8 years experience in a device Manufacturing/Production environment
• Familiarity with QSR or ISO 13485 
• Good written and verbal communication
• Technical writing skills
• Experience with, or knowledge in Industrial Laser Systems 
• Experience with, or knowledge in System Control Software development

• 10 years experience in a medical device/component contract Manufacturing/Production environment 
• Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt 
• Technical degree in an engineering discipline or relevant experience
